New York City Children’s Theater is seeking non-equity performers to portray Ashe in the Off-Broadway world premiere of The Pocket Park Kids. This groundbreaking production brings the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to life in a vibrant, thought-provoking play. Ashe is a key character who embodies leadership, athleticism, and determination.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Portray Ashe, a 12-year-old athlete who is disciplined and believes he knows best.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to bring depth and authenticity to the character.
  • Attend all scheduled rehearsals and performances in Midtown Manhattan.
  • Engage with the ensemble to deliver a dynamic and cohesive performance.

Requirements:

  • Non-equity performers only.
  • Actors of all races, gender identities, disabilities, and body types are encouraged to audition.
  • Puppetry skills are a plus but not required.
  • Must be a New York local hire and available for all workshop, rehearsal, and performance dates.
  • Submissions must include a self-tape audition showcasing your suitability for the role of Ashe.

Compensation:

  • $4,800 (favored nations rate).
