Christian Bustamante Casting is seeking a talented actor to portray the Monster in the upcoming short film “TAGA,” produced by Janet Yang Productions and CAPE. The film, which will be shot in Luzon, Philippines, involves a supernatural entity based on Filipino folklore. This role requires an actor with strong physicality and an ability to embody an eerie and unsettling presence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portray the Monster, a haunting and vengeful entity inspired by the Nangangatok, known for its terrifying door-knocking and predatory behavior.
- Collaborate with the makeup and special effects team, as the role involves wearing heavy prosthetics and extensive makeup.
- Execute physical movements that convey the unnatural and predatory nature of the Monster, such as moving like a reanimated body in swirling shadows.
- Work approximately one week on set, potentially requiring international travel.
Character Requirements:
- Male, late 20s to early 40s, any ethnicity.
- Performer should be tall (at least 5’10”) and have a lanky, skinny build.
- Must have strong physical acting skills and be comfortable with extensive makeup and prosthetics application.
- Ability to embody eerie, unsettling movements and an uncanny physicality.
- Must have a valid passport for international travel through July 2025.
- Open to SAG-E, Non-Union, or FiCore talent only.
Compensation:
- Rate: $241.00 per day.
- Includes roundtrip economy airfare, lodging, meals, ground transportation, and a per diem in local currency.
- Additional 10% fee applies if represented by an agent.
