Job Description
A new USC short film titled STEM, supported by Sundance Institute, Film Independent, and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, is casting multiple Korean-speaking roles. This award-backed project is directed by Daeil Kim and will shoot in Los Angeles over 6-7 days between July 28 and August 11, 2025. The story explores complex ethical dilemmas through the lens of groundbreaking stem cell research.
Job Responsibilities
• Portray compelling and nuanced Korean characters central to the film’s dramatic arc
• Perform in scenes that explore themes of science, morality, and emotional conflict
• Commit to scheduled filming dates in Los Angeles
• Work closely with the director and cast to deliver an authentic performance
Requirements
• Must speak fluent or conversational Korean
• SAG and Non-Union talent welcome
• Must be available for 6–7 shoot days
• Must be local to the LA area for supporting roles
