Casting Call for Skilled Basketball Player – “Older JJ” for “Project Sports Drink” Commercial

Job Description:
Project Sports Drink is seeking a skilled basketball player to portray the role of “Older JJ” in an upcoming commercial shoot. This non-union project will be filmed in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The role requires a talented athlete who can authentically portray the journey of a rising basketball star who overcame obstacles and is now making waves in the sport.

Job Responsibilities:

• Portray “Older JJ,” a basketball player from Northeast Philly who has returned stronger after overcoming a knee injury and is now being recruited to a D1 program.
• Demonstrate high-level basketball skills, including speed, versatility, and on-court agility, during the shoot.
• Work closely with the director and production team to deliver a realistic and dynamic performance that captures the character’s determination and athletic ability.

Requirements:

• Male, aged 18-25, Black.
• Must have significant basketball experience and the ability to perform advanced skills as required by the role.
• Comfortable participating in a 12-hour shoot day and a wardrobe fitting session.

Compensation:

• Rate: $1750 for a 12-hour session, including the fitting.
• Additional buyout: $4000 for a 6-month term with the option to renew for two additional 6-month terms.
