A feature comedy is seeking a Montreal-based actor for the role of Police Officer, a key character in the film’s climax. This officer makes a dramatic onstage arrest at an improv competition, delivering a moment that’s both serious and hilariously timed. The role adds to the film’s cultural richness and comic tension.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray an Eastern European police officer with a strong, authoritative presence

• Deliver lines clearly and confidently in Czech

• Participate in a pivotal scene involving a public arrest during a performance

• Collaborate with cast and crew for blocking and timing

• Help maintain the film’s comedic tone while grounding the scene in realism

Requirements

• Male or female actor, late 20s to 40s

• Must be local to Montreal or Quebec

• Must speak fluent Czech

• Ability to perform with command and subtle comedic flair

• Experience in film or theatrical roles is preferred

Compensation

• Actor Featured Role

• ACTRA Scale: $631.25 CAD/8 hrs, with overtime at $118.50 CAD

• Paid role in a professionally produced ensemble film

• Shooting begins on or around May 21, 2024
