We are seeking featured background extras to portray news photographers and videographers for the upcoming feature film “Jiminy”. These roles are crucial in adding realism and depth to the scenes involving media presence. Selected candidates will work closely with the main actors and directors to create authentic background activity in a dynamic film environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in filming scenes as directed, portraying a news photographer or videographer.
- Interact with other extras and main cast members to create a believable media scene.
- Follow directions from the director and crew to ensure scenes are shot as required.
- Maintain professionalism on set at all times.
- Be prepared for multiple takes and adjustments as directed by the film crew.
Requirements:
- Gender: Male and Female
- Age Range: 21-65
- Look: Media types, reasonably conservative appearance.
- Experience as a real news photographer or videographer is highly preferred and will qualify for a higher special ability rate.
- Must be available for costume fittings and multiple day shoots.
- Ability to work long hours (typically approx. 12-hour days) as required by the shooting schedule.
- Professional behavior and reliability are essential.
Compensation Details:
- Standard Rate: $117.00 for 8 hours of work. Overtime at time and a half after 8 hours.
- Special Ability Rate (for proven experience in news/media): $200 for 8 hours.
- Costume Fitting: $29.25 for a 2-hour session.
- Payment terms and conditions will be finalized upon booking.
