In Hollywood, technology has gotten so advanced that for a majority of scenes backgrounds are digitally recreated by using visual effects. So long are the days of needing tons of extras, computer graphic designers can add millions of people within a few minutes at the fraction of the cost. But, at the same time it saves actors from being attacked by lions, or wardrobe designers spending hours on building a costume.
