Lead Actress for Canadian Feature Film
A major casting call is underway for a powerful lead role in an upcoming Canadian feature film directed by a critically acclaimed filmmaker. This is an opportunity to portray a compelling and emotionally rich character navigating love, identity, and empowerment. The role centers around a woman who reclaims her strength through dance after facing betrayal and emotional control in a long-distance marriage.
Job Responsibilities
- Portray the lead character with emotional depth and cultural authenticity
- Perform scenes that involve hip-hop dance or physical movement
- Collaborate with the director and creative team to bring the character’s journey to life
- Deliver dialogue in fluent English, Cantonese, and/or Mandarin
Requirements
- Female, late 20s to early 30s, of Chinese descent
- Must speak fluent English, Cantonese, and/or Mandarin
- Dance background required; experience in hip-hop, ballet, or physical movement is a major plus
- Strong acting skills with the ability to portray complex emotional arcs
- Must have access to Google/Gmail to submit application
- Open to performers with or without representation
