Coraline is a young girl living in the backwoods of Louisiana, shielded from the full extent of her family’s troubles. She seeks comfort and safety from her older brother, unaware of the darker secrets surrounding their family. The role requires a child actor who can portray innocence and a longing for stability amidst unsettling circumstances.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portray Coraline, a 7-year-old girl who is lively and seeks emotional support from her brother.
- Follow the director’s instructions to realistically depict the character’s emotions and reactions in various scenes.
- Participate in scenes that may involve emotionally charged moments, displaying a mix of innocence and need for protection.
- Be available for rehearsals and on-set filming according to the production schedule.
Requirements:
- Female, 7 to 10 years old (to play 7), Caucasian.
- Ability to express a range of emotions, from playfulness to moments of fear or sadness.
- Experience in acting is a plus but not required.
- Local hire only (Southeast Louisiana).
- If selected, a valid work permit and trust account are required (for minors).
Compensation Details:
- Rate: $162/day.
- Compensation is in accordance with SAG-AFTRA Micro Budget Agreement standards.
