CASTING CALL: KAYAKERS WANTED FOR TECH COMPANY COMMERCIAL
Job Detail: We are looking for GTA (Greater Toronto Area) kayakers with real sea/flat water kayaking experience for an exciting tech company commercial. This is a non-union project, and no acting experience is required. We’re explicitly seeking individuals between the ages of 40-50 who are passionate about kayaking and comfortable being filmed and interviewed.
Job Responsibilities: As a kayaker in this commercial, your primary responsibility will be to showcase your kayaking skills and enthusiasm on camera. You will be filmed participating in various kayaking activities in the natural sea and flat water settings. The commercial aims to capture the joy and adventure of kayaking while promoting our client’s innovative tech product.
Requirements:
- Must be an experienced kayaker with real sea/flat water kayaking expertise.
- Age range: 40-50.
- No prior acting experience necessary, but must be outgoing and comfortable in front of the camera.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Able to film in Toronto.
- Available for a brief audition on August 10th or 11th, if shortlisted.
- Available for a wardrobe appointment on August 17th (about 2 hours required) and filming from August 18th to 21st (one day only).
Compensation Details:
- Each selected kayaker will receive $75 for attending the wardrobe appointment.
- For one day of filming, each kayaker will receive $600.
- If footage featuring you is used in the final commercial, you will receive an additional $2500 for its use, making the total compensation range from $675 to $6,675.
